Love Your Neck & Décolleté – The Often-Forgotten Beauty Zone

The Neck & Decollete...

Hello Beautiful,

Your neck and decollate are often the first to show sun damage, sagging, and lines – yet the last to get proper care. Today, let's discover why this delicate skin ages faster, the surprising role toxins play, and the inside-out solutions that keep your neck and chest smooth, firm, and radiant for years.

Reasons Behind Skin Aging on Neck & Decollete

We spend so much time caring for our faces, but the delicate skin of the neck and decollete tells just as much of our story... and can be even more challenging to keep youthful. Why?

This skin is thinner, heals slower, gets less circulation, and has unique structural fat pads that, once lost, can make sagging and folds appear faster than on the face.

Some common culprits for these unwelcome changes are:

  • Pesticide buildup (often from childhood) can lodge in neck fat, creating stubborn folds that creams, peels, or lasers won’t erase.
  • Loss of structural fat pads with age or very low body fat can lead to laxity and deeper lines.
  • Sun exposure over the years accelerates damage, especially on the decollete.
  • Toxins like chlorine from tap water can cause breakouts or irritation on the chest.

Holistic Approach to Neck & Dec Skin

When we care for our neck and chest with the same devotion as our face, inside and out, they can remain smooth, firm, and radiant for years to come.

Lasting improvement comes from a holistic, inside-out approach:

  • Support your body in clearing stored toxins with gentle binders like DIM (a compound found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, and kale), glutathione, or activated charcoal.
  • Nourish structural fat pads with fatty acid-rich oils like Sea Buckthorn Omega-7 Complete or Organic Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil to help restore firmness.
Other quality supplements are Omega-7 Plus and Sea Buckthorn Organic Berry Oil that can be used internally and topically.
  • Protect daily from sun damage – and choose treatments that stimulate fibroblasts without trauma. For safe, non-toxic solutions to sun-related discoloration, see my Transforming Your Skin: Hyperpigmentation eBook.
  • Supporting your skin with specific exercises that encourage cellular repair and renewal.

💌 From My Heart to Yours
Last week, I didn’t send out a newsletter because my mom passed away. She lived a life rooted in service and love, and her example is woven deeply into who I am.

I’m still feeling raw from this loss, but it has also strengthened my resolve to pour my heart into creating the best knowledge base possible for the women I serve.

My mission is to build a lasting Knowledge Vault for Menopause Skin Health – so you’ll always have the guidance, tools, and support you need to feel confident and radiant in every season of life.

From my vanity to yours...

Lesser-Known Menopause Skin Facts (and What to Do About Them)

  1. Menopause can shrink oil glands – The sebaceous glands in the skin become smaller and less active, leading to persistent dryness.

What to do: Switch to a richer moisturizer, and use a hydrating serum under it for lasting comfort. Beware of toxic skincare ingredients and preservatives that can nullify your efforts for healthier, younger-looking skin.
  2. Skin pH shifts upward – A higher pH makes skin more prone to irritation, sensitivity, and slower healing.

What to do: Use a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser (around pH 5.5) and avoid harsh soaps that strip your skin’s natural acidity.
  3. Facial bones subtly change that leads to skin sagging – Bone density loss in the jaw and cheekbones can make skin look looser, even without weight changes. Hence it is important to take care of your oral health/teeth, making sure all teeth are there and your jaw provides an excellent skeletal support for facial skin.

What to do: Support bone health with weight-bearing exercise, calcium-rich foods, and vitamin D. Add facial massage that creates cellular renewal and gua sha to keep skin circulation strong

Skin2Celebrate Discover the gentle Vitamin A options your menopause skin will love. Hello Beautiful, Last time, I shared how Vitamin A is one of the most essential nutrients for your skin’s youth. Think of it as your skin’s daily renewal signal: it tells your cells to repair, to firm, and to glow. Here’s why this matters so much in menopause: as estrogen declines, your skin naturally loses Vitamin A faster. Without replenishment, you’ll see the effects like fine lines deepening, texture...

Skin2Celebrate The glow you’ve been missing begins with this menopause-friendly PHA. Hello Beautiful, When it comes to exfoliation, most women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond hesitate. You’ve probably tried scrubs that left your skin red… or acids that stung and peeled. Menopause skin is thinner, drier, and more reactive. And it calls for renewal, yes, but without the punishment. That’s where Gluconolactone comes in The Gentle Exfoliant Your Menopause Skin Has Been Waiting For Think of...
